Nancy's older son, David, courageously fought stage 4 colon cancer while maintaining a full workload as a Harvard University graduate student working on dual majors in Public Policy and Law. Then, at age 28, he died. Obstacles tend to hit us right as it’s our time to grab onto our passion, purpose and take our position for the kingdom of God. We caught the vision of the deep need in the world that moves us. We looked clearly at what God has entrusted to us—our strengths, gifts, talents, and resources. We heard God and we began to move. But heads up: when God pulls us out, puts His hand of anointing and power on us to do that thing, the enemy rolls up his sleeves. In these moments, we have two options: We can take that defeatist posture—a dejected “Oh, hell.” Or we can know when God calls us forth, it’s game on! “Oh, hell NO!”
